As the majority of our food is packaging-free, nearly all allergens can be found in store. This may be the product itself or traces due to the manufacturing/transportation process.
To try and limit any cross-contamination we use different scoops, funnels and dispensers for the main allergens of NUTS and GLUTEN FREE products. We further try to limit any contamination in the storage room by keeping the products apart, but they aren't in completely separate areas (we just don't have the space!)
You will notice on our dispensers that there are two types of allergen warnings. Ingredients stated as ALLERGENS will be an ingredient used to make the product. Ingredients under the heading PCC (Possible cross contamination) will have been manufactured or transported with other items containing those allergens.
If you suffer from a minor allergy or intolerance, then please ask at the till for a designated funnel. Unfortunately, we have to advise that if you suffer from a life threatening allergy, you should continue to buy your products appropriately packaged from a supermarket.
We ensure all of our dispensers are filled in a hygienic environment and washed before use. They are are also taken out of circulation and washed in between refills of different Batch numbered products.
Please ensure that your own containers are completely clean and dry before filling them in store. We cannot take responsibility for any product once it has been taken out of our containers. We also cannot put any products back into a dispenser from a customer containers for hygiene reasons.
On all of our dispensers you will see a small black label with a number or code on it. This is the batch number of the product inside and we recommend you take a note of this for future reference. Best before dates will be displayed on the weight sticker from the scales. All further ingredients, nutritional information and any cooking instructions can be found under the 'In Store Products' page on our website.
